    If your a young slim woman these are for you, if your a curvy woman these will be tight in the hip for the size. The quality is good and the color/length for hiking but snug.

    These shorts are a bit more dressy than usual trail or backpack shorts. They do shrink a bit but I fit a size 8 (or less depending on brand) and I wouldn't want them any tighter especially in the waist. I am very satisfied with these shorts-I am sure they will be great for traveling-probably won't use them for hiking or backpacking although they would be ok, not great for those activities.

    Runs almost 2" big in waist, I'm an 8 (waist 29") & I needed a size 6. Nice style & soft feel to fabric, but EVERYTHING clings to it (dust, cat hair..) & WON'T let go! Terrible flaw in travel clothes. Also, was clingy feeling, not sure how it'd do in hot weather, seemed warmish just wearing in house in winter?! Had to send back.
