This is my second pair of these gloves, which I love. They do fit very tightly at first, but stretch out to a certain degree. Not for plump-fingered folks. They are made of fine *glove* leather and are not intended for work, just keeping warm while walking/running or driving (excellent for this),... Read More

Bought these in two colors for myself and two for my mom - run true to size. I got myself the size Small and they fit perfectly (I wear a size 4.5/5 on my ring finger and have dainty hands) - decent leather, cashmere lined. Overall a great gift!

As someone who usually can't find small enough gloves, I was happy to find these. The leather is smooth and supple and the lining is soft, but the fingers are surprisingly short compared to the thumb. One of the black gloves developed a tear in the leather (perpendicular to a finger seam, on the back) the very first time I put it on, probably because the fingers were too short for me to spread my fingers. The bronze gloves seem sturdier. I wouldn't buy these again, but they were adequate for the price. I would size up if you have long fingers.

I've only been able to wear these once, since I didn't get them until the weather had turned warmish but looking forward to using them as my "go to" gloves next winter. They're fashionable without being overmuch, as far as the metallic goes. I usually take a large but ordered the extra large just to make sure I had plenty of room, and these fit comfortably but without much e tea room. So, keep that in mind when ordering.

    lovely elegant gloves

These won't be worn until next winter which must be why they were on sale, but they are well-sewn, fingers the right length, leather is flexible, and the lining should add warmth. The purple, which I ordered, is a very dark aubergine, very subtle.

  • Question “Are these waterproof?”
Asked on 6/19/2015 12:30:40 PM by Sara Lansky from New York
    • Answer No. I use them as dress gloves and don't have a reason to get them wet except when brushing snow off the car. I've never soaked them through, but the leather does get wet.

    • Answer I think they are as waterproof as any leather garment. Not as waterproof as a rubber or plastic, however.

    • Answer I only wore them a short time before the weather changed. They are beautiful gloves, but waterproof, I think not.

    • Answer I bought these for next winter so haven't used them beyond trying them on. Leather is generally not waterproof but can be water proofed or made more water resistant with saddle soap etc.

    • Answer These are a pair of refined leather gloves suitable for more dressy or everyday 'city' use. I don't think these are appropriate for strenuous activity such as winter sports. Therefore, I would not classify these as waterproof gloves unless you treat them with a quality leather waterproof product.

    • Answer I don't know if they've been waterproofed but I treated them as if they had not. I haven't worn them in the rain, but I did wear them in the snow and they repelled the moisture from the flakes with no discoloration. If you need them to be really waterproof, I think you'd need to treat them with a waterproofing solution.

  • Question “My hand measures exactly at 7". Should I get the medium size?”
Asked on 11/22/2011 12:00:00 AM by Angie from Seneca, SC
    • Answer If you hover over the " Sizes Available" a tap will appear and provide you with the correct numeric sizing. In you case you would order a S (Girth 7 IN-7½ IN)

    • Answer They seem to run a bit small and with a too snug fit may give out at the stress points. They're great gloves so I recommend buying one at reg size and one at one size up and one pair back.

    • Answer I would definitely get the medium. I also have narrow fingers and measured 7--the medium was too big, small was perfect.

    • Answer Measure around the widest part of your hand (girth). Mine measures 7" size S, an XS, 6 1/2" is perfect for me. I bought a S in the Excelled glove; the fingers are about 1/4" too long but kept them because the gloves are so beautiful. Leather gloves will get roomier as you wear them. Hope this helps.

    • Answer Measure around the knuckles (widest part of the hand). For these "Excelled Lambskin Leather gloves, I would order 2 sizes larger than the measurement you get.
Answered on 11/3/2010 12:00:00 AM by Cherry Picker from Oak Ridge, TN
    • Answer You have to measure around your palm right where the knuckles are.|If it is for example 7.5" around - then you are size 7.5 - which is usually medium. 8" would be large , under 7 " is small.|Better stores have gloves in sizes 6, 6.5 , 7, 7.5 , etc.,but here you have to try your luck because fingers maybe too short, or too long .
Answered on 11/4/2010 12:00:00 AM by evak from barrington,il
    • Answer I would suggest you try the medium, or perhaps the large since these gloves run small. I think you'll be very pleased.

    • Answer If you wrap a tape measure around your hand at the base of your fingers, leaving the thumb out, you can determine your size for gloves. The number of inches around your flat hand at the widest part is about the size you need. If it measures between 7 and 7 1/2, for expample you will want to order the larger size. Good luck!

    • Answer Generally, you'd probably wear a medium but to determine glove size you measure your hand around the widest part of your knuckles. (Not around the thumb area)

    • Answer Hi Nancy, I think a medium pair would be perfect. I'm no authority on leather gloves but I own a medium pair and I'm about the same size as you.
Answered on 2/9/2011 12:00:00 AM by Aj from New York, NY
    • Answer Place your hand flat on the measuring tape, then measure the girth just below the knuckles on your hand (not around the fingers).
Answered on 8/22/2011 12:00:00 AM by Nova runs from Northern VIrginia
    • Answer Use the sizing chart STP provides - just measure your hand (excluding thumb) at the widest part - usually at your knuckles. I did a quick measure with a straight ruler (front, back, and sides) and added them together - not 100% accurate, but enough to figure out which size on the chart.
