“I first used these pants for hiking. They're as cool as shorts while providing protection from bushes, tall grass, and bugs.
My yard is full of biting midges (no-seeums) and it's impossible to go outside in shorts--several bites per minute of exposure.
I've switched to the Air-Strip pants as my standard attire and even without insect repellant they protect me from the midges. (The midges don't go through the openings in the air-strip.) I get a bite or two in six hours of working in the yard.”
