ExOfficio Air Strip Pants - Insect Shield® (For Women)

I've only worn the pants once, but love them. We eat outside and often the mosquitos are really bad, these pants work and breathe. We also go to outdoor concerts and movies in the evening, again the pants are good for that. I am looking forward to wearing them at the beach where they do not sparay as well as hiking in tick infested areas since I like to go off the path. I bought two sizes, and my daughter took the bigger one, she too loves them.

Very comfortable and cool on a hot hike on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Mosquitoes did not find the holes in the airstrip so no mosquito bites. The day I first wore them, the weather went from hot and sunny to a hail storm and rain. They still kept me warm and dried very quickly when the sun came back out. I like them. Wish I could find some for my husband in a tall man size!

I ordered this because the photo appears it has a high waiste... and so do I. They are very low slung.

If you are curvy at all, consider sizing up. These lightweight pants are better loose than snug anywhere. The mesh is cooling, but slightly odd looking if you were to wear them to the grocery store or office. I doubt I would wear these for anything but extreme adventures and hiking. I am almost always an 8 in ex o pants, sometimes a 6 in ex o pants, if they have stretch or cotton, and I started with an 8 and later opted for a 10. Just cut the tag out if the number bothers you. . . .

I wore these pants picking wild blackberries in the Tennessee heat & humidity, and the airstrip kept me as cool as shorts, but I was protected from briars and with the insect shield I didn't get a single chigger bite. That's a *5 in my book. I'm ordering a second pair.
