ExOfficio Air Strip Pants - Insect Shield® (For Women)

I am looking forward to wearing these pants

They really work and the strip keeps you cooler.

It was unfortunate that the sizing was off on these pants. They were just too big. I have other ExOfficio pants and the size is right on. The lightweight material and leg vents were great but I had to return them. If there had been a smaller size in the color I wanted I would not have hesitated in taking an exchange instead of a refund. They would have been great for warm weather hiking.

What's so odd, is that at first I purchased this same pant WITHOUT the insect shield in the size 8, i wanted another pair so bad but the good colors were out so i had to go with the insect shield though i didn't really need it. the difference in size was almost 2 inches smaller in the waist than the regular air strip pant. So odd. And with the insect shield added to the fabric it makes it stiffer and not soft and silky like the regular air strip pant. I am returning this pair, but keeping the plain one :o) order a size up with this one. This is a fantastic brand though!

These pants are a little too big in waist on me, but that is solved by using a belt. I get a size to fit my hips and the waist is always generous. These will be tested against the biting flies and mosquitoes who live in the Wind Rivers.

i am 5'3 and the size 6 fit me well.

I haven't had the opportunity to wear these in the field yet, but trying them on, they fit very well. The ventilation panels looks great; I get so hot when I hike or in hot weather where pants are still advisable to wear (due to bugs or scratchy hiking terrain). As per other comments, the roll-up feature merely turns them from regular pants to "high-water" pants, maybe you'd stay dry walking through puddles, but otherwise it doesn't add to the cooling feature.

They quickly become the trousers I want to wear all the time. This is my second pair of these. And they repel insects. How much better does it get?

I can't comment about the pant fit because I was given blouse/shirt choices. I'm a 12 petite, but the 12s work on me. You can't see in the photo, but the inseam is all mesh so your legs can breathe. Now I understand what they meant by "air strip". I'm looking forward to finding out how the insect shield works. We have a really long mosquito season in South Florida. Ay! Ay! Ay, caramba! Guess I'll put on those pants! Now!

I bought these pants for a hiking trip to Arizona this month. I already have worn them three times and I must say they are just what I wanted. The length for me was perfect (I'm 5'7") and the rolled up option is nice. They do not wrinkle and will pack nicely. I wish they offered more colors. I bought the brownish color, which I like.
