    These pants look nice and work great. I also have the Air Strip Insect Shield pants, and I love them too. While the Air Strip pants are better for very hot weather, these are more attractive and have a more stylish fit. They make great all around travel pants because they look nice enough to wear out to dinner and yet rugged enough for your outdoor adventures. I never get bitten by anything while I am wearing them.

    I have not yet had an opportunity to test the insect-shield feature, which is probably what most people would like to hear about, but I will say that these pants, with the dropped waist, are a better fit than the old Buzz-off pants that I had in the past. They cinched me around the waist like a sausage. However, they were work pants and these are not. I do field research on dragonflies and need a tough, insect resistant pant, with a lot of roomy pockets and articulated knees so that I can climb down banks and scramble over river rocks. These are definitely not those pants. These pants are meant for travelers in the tropics who want to be guarded against mosquitoes while they are shopping, riding in an open tour vehicle, or dining al fresco. They are far dressier than I need.

    I work outdoors in extremely hot conditions with LOTS of ticks/chiggers. The one day that I did not wear these pants, I got chiggers all over my legs. That did it for me - I ordered another pair and wear them every day now. They are also very comfortable. I am short (5'1" and 120 lbs)and I appreciate that these pants have an adequate waistband - not too tight on my less than tiny waist! The length is perfect for me - but could be too short if you are very tall. I highly recommend these pants for any outdoor activity. And they look cute too!

    Fabulous pants, cute and fit nice; waistband is just below the bellybutton. I love of course the Insect Shield component as well since I usually get many mosquito bites through regular pants, but they left me alone in these!
