ExOfficio Amphi Convertible Pants - UV 30+ (For Women)

I had a pair of these for working in Alaska in 1995, but the material was much more crisp and high quality. The material is limp and formless and just feels cheap/low quality. I kept the Ex Officio Gobi pants instead, which aren't exactly the simple slim pants I wanted, but which do feel of a higher quality material.

These pants would have been great for an upcoming Costa Rica trip however they were too large and way too long. I didn't order a smaller size because of the length.

buy a size smaller. lUnfortunately, it wasn't available for me. Great pants for warm weather.

I wore them while traveling and was able to keep my credit cards and money close at hand in a zipped pocket.

Not true to size...feels like it runs about 1/2 size smaller than marked.

Reading other reviews, I learned that the large was huge, so I opted for medium. They were too small all over, so I returned them for large. Large was indeed huge! I am now returning the large ones.

Like many other reveiws said, the fit is odd. I am a 12/14 pant size. i first ordered a medium based on other reviews I read. The pants were a little too tight in the rear. The lenth was a tad long but I am used to that with most pants I buy (I am only 5'3"). I exchanged for a Large - the waist/butt fit fine (they are loose but prefer that over tight) but the lenth is about 12" too long! I really want these pants for a safari in August so I am going to take them in to be altered (which is a pain because of the zippers at the ankles).

As reported in other reviews, these pants run very long. However, contrary to what some others have written, they CAN be shortened. It's just a rather involved process of ripping out the zippers for several inches and then re-hemming the pants. Any experienced sewer should be able to do it without too much difficulty.

The small 8-10 size was small 8 not 9 or 10. My son can wear the pants so we are not sending them back.
