This is the perfect jacket to wear when going to see the Rain Forest. It is light enough, breathable, and offers protection from the sun and bugs being long sleeved.

Took on African safari in mid-September and used often - as a cover-up from sun or an extra layer in cool morning or evening times. My friend borrowed it to take on a trip to China in October, and she also found it to be very useful.

The fabric is very thin, yet has a protection rating of 30+. I plan to use it on hot sunny days by the lake, and wearing on spring/summer walks. I have had good experiences with ExOfficio clothing in the past, and know it to be good quality, so I was willing to take a chance on ordering this. I am not disappointed.

This one IS REALLY BIG. Its also very, very plain - but with some buckles and tabs it could be super cute - oh well. The sleeves are going to need work. They don't stay up when rolled up. There is no tab to contain the rolled up sleeves, or elastic at the end of the sleeve, there is no cuff, either. However, they are an exact match to some pants I have from last year. So I'm going to do some after market work on the jacket and see if I can "cute it up".

I was looking for something that covers well, packs small and drys quickly since I plan to not bring very much so will be hand laundering. Headed previous reviewers and got a small size rather than my usual medium and it fits well.
