I have full arm coverage when I need it and it will roll up and stay up when I don't. I like that it is NOT fitted as I will stay cooler without it clining to me. Too bad they are not making this style anymore. Great fit!

Live in Florida and love the beach, hiking, riding horses, etc., but after a scare with skin cancer, need the sun protection of long sleeves, so really appreciate the cool lightweight shirts ExOfficio makes. Got a large so it would be 'loose', as the medium fits me good (I am 5'6" and weigh 145), but would be a little tight over a bathing suit for example, walking on the beach, so usually opt for the large.

Answer It is not a sheer material though it is a thinner material that's nice to stay cool with. Often times a tank top is favored to be worn under it for layering.

Answer I think it may run a little on the smaller side. On the other hand, I prefer things to be comfortable and loose! I am in the 14-range, and this shirt is a perfect (loose and comfortable) fit for me.

Answer Suggest that you order a size up as I usually wear an XS (I'm a petite 2) and returned it for a S and the S fit better around the bust.
