ExOfficio Exsential Pants - Organic Cotton, (For Women)

These are very nice pants, run a bit big. I usually wear a medium in stretch pants but I bought the small based on the reviews and they fit perfectly. They're very nice material and nice cut, but there is NO elastic in the waistband. I'm keeping them and planning on sewing elastic in the waistband, but do not order them unless you are prepared to do that.

I have not worn these because they are huge. I'm going to give them to someone instead of returning them. They seem well made and comfortable. I am a small 10, big 8. The medium I ordered seems like a 14 to me. Also, they would be for plane wear, not adventuring. The fabric is a knit so would snag, pill, and tear if you were on an Amazonian adventure as depicted on the tag attached to it. And it would be too casual for say going out to dinner. More of a yoga pant.

HUGE! I ordered a large and they were massive! If I had another 100lbs on me, they probably would have fit great. They seemed stretched out. Maybe someone forced them on and then returned? Not sure but, whatever they case, they went back.

Held up nicely at an outdoor dog show in 80 degree plus temperatures. Important to look put together so you don't detract from the dog. Fit isn't ideal but much better than my cotton pants.

until you realize that this pair of pants are way, way too big for the size marked. I wear a lot of Ex-Offcio and usually a size M is good for me (even a little tight around the hip sometimes). But even the size small (suggested by some to go one size smaller) was way, way too big. ExOfficio, what were you thinking? The pants are so big that I think they might fall off my big hip if I run in them. So buy at your own risk. It was not worth my while to pay the shipping and go to UPS to return so I may wear them at home where pants falling down won't be too much of a shock to the nerve.

When I opened the package, I couldn't believe my eyes. I ordered small, but this pants look like XL. I returned it without try-on.

I loved everything about these pants except the waistline. Has no elastic and nothing to keep it up. Falls down. I should have listened to the other reviews. I am going to try to get someone to sew in some elastic for me.

So comfortable I thought they'd work like yoga pants with loose waists but the hips that fit just slide right down. I took off tags and wore them so will try sewing the waist tighter but I feel burnt; will pay more attention to reviews in future. I've never seen a material with azlon/soybean and won't try again.

I love these pants and the jacket that matches. The fabric is comfortable and breathable and the cut (other than noted above) is very flattering. These would be great for travel, especially sleeping on long haul flights due to comfort and waistband design. Overall, very flexible design and at a great Sierra price! Now for the size/cut caveats...I originally ordered my regular ExO size and they were WAY too big (Should have trusted the other reviewers!). Returned for next smaller size and they were great at first, but because the waist is not very elastic they kept falling down all day as I wore them. I can guarantee you it's not because I'm losing weight! Since I've removed the tags am going to see if a tailor can add a little elastic or take them in a bit so I can keep enjoying them.

I know that Ex-Officio makes high quality items and at first glance that's how these pants seemed. When I tried them on I LOVED them. The fabric is soft, the cut is fitted without being clingy or too tight and they looked great. But then I wore them for a day and the pants literally slid off my body. They would not stay up. It's almost as if there was no elastic in the fabric at all. If you do try these - order one size smaller. I'm usually a large in "stretchy pants" but the Mediums were the right size in these.
