I personally love these shorts, but they are a different fit than most ExOfficio bottoms. (which is probably why I like them) I own both the Gallivant shorts and pants, which fit similarly. I got these shorts to wear on my mountain bike over a padded chamois and they're great for that purpose. The fabric is light without being flimsy, stretchy, and quick-drying. Love the zippered pockets and the length is just right. The rise is also just right - below the waist but not too low, and the cut is nice and slim. BUT the waist is too big and gaps when I lean over on my bike. I remedied this with a web belt, and I'm keeping these shorts because they're so great otherwise and with the belt they fit perfectly. They do seem to run big - I usually take a 6 in Ex Officio, but had to get a 4 in these. Recommended with reservations.

I personally love these shorts, but they are a different fit than most ExOfficio bottoms. (which is probably why I like them) I own both the Gallivant shorts and pants, which fit similarly. The Gallivant is not a fit for most women, it runs much slimmer in the hip/thigh in proportion to the waist. Since I carry my weight more in the tummy area, this is perfect for me. This seems similar to how a lot of Lole pants fit. They are very lightweight, dry quickly, and seem (so far) to be very durable. I highly recommend them for the quality, but be aware that if you are a pear-shape, these probably will be too big in the waist for you.

Initially, I was excited to find these shorts. I have a pair of exofficio pants that get a lot of use, and the fit looked to be comparable. I was way off! The waist is a bit high, but far too large for the hip and thigh measurements. I put on a size 6; the hips and legs fit great, but the waist was more like a size 8. I liked the idea of these shorts so much that I tried using a belt, but because of the high waist, there was too much bunching in front.

I was very disappointed with the fit.
