ExOfficio Insect Shield® Barrier Hoodie Sweatshirt (For Women)

I already had one of these sweatshirts purchased from a retail store in Flagstaff and just love it. Extremely disappointed in the one from Sierra - believe it to be a second with the length about 4 inches shorter than my original!!!!!!

Have not worn it yet.

Keeps bug away

The light weight material is great for the warm weather/warm climates. It hasn't been that buggy so I can't speak for the bug shield factor. I plan on using it this winter in FL. The only con I have is that the zipper is a little difficult to get started. I think it will get better with use.

just got it last week ,wear it while exercise in the park , even though I pull up the hood , still got bitten by insects on my face and fingers , cannot cover the whole face and hands,looks cheap , zipper is flimsy ,at least it's comfortable

I bought this for our trip to the Amazon and the fabric was perfect - light, but good coverage to keep off the bugs (and quick drying). The hood and long sleeves made bug coverage all the better. Premethrin (insect repellant) treatment works and didn't smell (unlike kids clothes that I treated with bottled premethrin myself). BUT, I returned the first one that I bought when the zipper broke. Got another hoping it was an isolated flaw. but, the second one I have has a sticky zipper as well. I know to be delicate with it. Decided to keep it anyway.

I borrowed this sweatshirt from a friend camping and didn't want to give it back. So I bought my own!

I normally wear a size 4P (S) but after reading the reviews, I ordered a M and glad I did. It's very thin but it does the job of repelling bugs. The edge of the hood has a pull elastic sewn inside the seam so you can pull it tight and the bugs won't get under / in the hood. I am not able to undo / start the zipper so I'm leaving it "hooked" and just using it as a pullover, rather than going through the hassle of returning it for an exchange. It's a great sweater to take on a trip as I do a lot of traveling and it doesn't take up much space and can be folded easily in my carry-on or big bag.

I desperately need something for gardening to protect me from insects, and like the soft feel of the fabric. I wish I could exchange this for another one same size/color in hope that the zipper probelm was not universal, but it is out of stock.

I bought one of these a couple of yeras ago and now bouht a second- one for home and one for travel- wouldn't be without one-
