“Although I haven't field trialed these particular socks yet. I have used other insect shield socks and they work like advertised. Since I was attacted by chiggers a couple of years ago, I will not go out hiking or walking around during the insect prone times of the year without them. Last year during summer tick season here in Virginia, my son and I went for a short walk around his new property. He was constantly picking ticks off his legs and I remained tick free. Great product, even better combined with other insect shield garments.”
