“Nice hiking socks with a bonus”

“Really nice all around hiking socks with the addition of keeping the tiny critters at bay. Especially useful in chigger-infested areas! These socks have a moderate amount of cushion and the lighter, more open material on the top of the foot does seem to vent well. Probably best for light-weight adventures. I'd wear a substantial liner or go with a more heavily padded sock if I had a pack at or over 30lbs. Haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but they do appear to be made of high quality materials that will last. I really like the height of these socks...so if they are pulled up you don't look like great-grandpa...and if they are pushed down you don't feel like you're in an 80's work-out video with leg warmers on!”
