    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    The gloves were so small/tight that I couldn't move my hands in them. I am a small person 4'11", 100 lbs, and I have always worn the smallest sized gloves (typically, they are too big). These were impossible to move in, despite washing several times!

    The material is thick enough that that in itself would discourage/prevent many bug bites/stings. They are not articulated in any way so the padding in the inner portion tends to make them somewhat stiff. If it weren't for the price I'd probably send them back.

    I bought these for my mother and since I didnt know what size to buy, I got a small and medium. I wear a small and usually they are still a tad big. But for the price it was worth it to buy two, I figured I could use them as another gift. Well to my surprise the smalls fit perfect. I was shocked and now get to keep them! The mediums will go to my mom. They were worth the deal to kick around outside with.
