Nice shorts . Did not like fit . Sits lower on waist. Returned them.

Very flattering fit. I am 5'5", 145lbs and 29 years old. I was concerned these would be too tight in the hips an thigh area so I purhcased a 10 which was a little loose in the waist but not enough to get the 8's. These shorts were the perfect length, not too short or too long. I purchased them for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica and know I will get good use out of them. The material is light weight and breathable.

I love ExOfficio, and I thought these would be similar to the Amphi Shorts I've purchased in the past. They were much shorter than they appeared in the picture, however, and so I had to return them. I am very impressed and grateful for Sierra Trading Post's excellent return policy.

travel, all things sporty

Great for travel.

These are very nice looking shorts that would work well for summer travel AND for summer activities like hiking or camping. For my body type, they will not work. I am 5'5" tall and very heavy through the hips and thighs. I ordered the largest available size. They sit low and were too tight to snap. They were very tight across the hips. I'm disappointed, as they are quality shorts that would have worked well for going ashore during my upcoming sailing trip.

I purchased both a size 4 and 6 because of limited quantity. There is not a huge difference in size. Has drawstring waste inside, so you can adjust to your preferred fit.

I find the fit across the hips a bit funny feeling. I still have full range of motion when sitting, though. Just a tad tight maybe, or a little short in the rise. For that reason I would hesitate to buy this brand in pants again without first trying on. I bought size 10; my hips are 38-39 inches wide. Usually mediums are no problem. I love ExOfficio's wicking shirts so figured I'd try their shorts. This sits low on the waist. The construction is good as well as the fabric.

I'm 5'1", 115 lbs, and bought a size 4. Perfect fit and length, not too short and not too long. They reach a couple of inches above my knee. Great fabric (durable, quick-drying), 2 deep front pockets, wide belt loops, a metal front button, and soft flannel/felt-like material inside lining the waistline for comfort. The only drawback is the drawstring is inside the shorts so they get in the way and you have to tie them after buttoning the shorts. Very awkward but not enough for me to not want another pair of these shorts. Great for my daily walks, hiking, traveling (lightweight and quickdrying). They are thin so I don't think I'd wear them out and about since they're more like shorts you can wear in the water, which I've done once. Don't hesitate buying these shorts!

Just spent a week in Dominican Republic where everything stays wet and things dry slowly....these are the perfect shorts for hot weather and high humidity!
