    My only issue with the product is that the sizing runs large. I ordered an XL because several reviewers said the sizing runs small. They are apparently in denial about their waists, because the XL was huge. When I went to reorder, they were out of the L size, so I had to go with a different model. I think the Nomad are the best pants Ex Officio offers for tropical city travel. They look like slacks, but you have the benefit of lots of well-thought-out pockets and technical performance materials.

    I have trouble with pants staying up while hiking, but these with a nylon belt were perfect. Very good against mosquitoes as well. They take up very little room in my pack. These are lighter than zip off's, and that is partially why they stay up so good,...less weight.

    I'm a short woman so the pants are way too long, but they were not made for my shape and I knew that before I bought them. The pants are amazing! Liquid beads up giving you time to brush it off. (Not a substitute for rain pants but spills brush right off) I camp in Texas and burrs dig in to everything from dog fur to denim but NOT into these pants. They are lightweight, easy to wear, easy to layer under and layer over. Definitely a great value!

    Plenty of thoughtful workmanship in this gem. My favorite is the waist button held on with a strap of light webbing instead of sewn thread through tiny button holes. Soon to be my favorite on-the-water guide gear.
