I estimate they were two sizes too small. Especially when compared to the second pair of pants I ordered from ExOfficio at the same time, and which had the same label and fit correctly. I sent them back for an exchange (I hope).

The ExOfficio sizing chart doesn't include leg length, so I had to guess when ordering these. The "short" length is a 30" inseam, and the 'regular' length is 32" (I measured and yes I have a pair of each size). I'm a 31 myself, so the 'reg' is a bit long and the 'short' a bit short. But these pants feel great, have great features, and I should get another pair. Just not sure which inseam to get.

Stylish enough for evenings, rugged enough for the trail, techy enough for adventure. I wouldn't wade through a briar thicket in these pants, but they seem tough enough to go off-trail occasionally. They are light, but not such that I worry about ripping them every time I catch a branch. My new go-to pant for forestry meetings and field tours. The fit is amazing. Don't buy if you like things baggy and loose, these are made for folks that want things to fit but not constrict. The inseam recommendations are spot on. Ordering another pair immediately.
