Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sonja from Seattle on Sunday, June 8, 2014I'm still losing pregnancy weight and wanted something comfortable for the summer. This dress exceeded my expectations, I bought an XL, and I am somewhere around 170 and 5' 8". I think I might be around a size 12'. It's a little loose but not in a sloppy way. The length, either as a skirt or dress, is long enough to cover my knees and hit my shins in a flattering spot. The hips don't flare. Some skirts rest funny drawing attention to your hips, but because of the puckery no-wrinkle fabric, this lays perfectly. Because it has a very adjustable waistline (you can pull it up, down, whatever), i can have it hit me where it works best to hide my remaining tummy. I don't think it's super flattering to my chest as a dress because there is no support, but that is more a function of my large nursing chest, not the dress. It would work great for a swimsuit cover up just as well as a skirt for a night out. I will buy another in a smaller size or I will be bummed when I can no longer wear this.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Baranduin from NYC on Wednesday, May 28, 2014i am so happy with this skirt! i have been looking for a comfortable skirt that travels in suitcase and on body without appearing unkempt, covers almost to ankles (in case I need to enter a church or am in a country where modesty is the norm, for 7 years. I also love that the ties dondouble duty as drawstring and halter!
Reviewed by Cal shopper from California on Sunday, February 23, 2014I don't recommend this skirt if you don't have a flat stomach, because the elasticity around the waist really emphasizes a belly. It's also unattractive to wear the skirt with a longer shirt worn outside, because of the tie in the front. Nevertheless, the skirt served me well while traveling in India. I rolled the waist up and let the tie hang down inside. I am small busted and the top is too big for me to wear as a dress. It runs big, so you might need to go down a size. The fabric is great for travel.
Reviewed by Alfresco5 from Kansas City on Tuesday, February 11, 2014I got this as a maternity skirt/dress, and will be perfect for my needs! With the excellent stretch, I'll be wearing this for many years after the baby comes. Seems to be made of sturdy gauze material so should last and don't have to worry about wrinkles! I'm 5'7", 135 and got a medium. Will easily stretch to fit my soon larger form ;) If you're on the border about sizes, I'd order down cause it stretches quite a bit,
