Sturdy, rugged looking, plenty of pockets. I've got a huge butt, measuring about 46", and a 34" waist (common in people who play rugby into their 30s). I ordered the 36" waist shorts because I guessed that, like most pants, the 34" waist wouldn't go up my legs.
These are even a bit tighter across the butt than I expected. They are for less muscular men. If you have tree trunk legs from squatting, I might say pass these by. Otherwise they fit really well and look good.
