“Boxy bodice, long sleeves”

“Like other reviewers said, sleeves are longer than average. I ordered my usual size--Small (5'5" , slim) and the shoulders and bodice length were just right. Too bad about the boxy cut of the bodice. This is the same problem I encounter with clothing I find in stores that cater to the 'over 40' crowd. I toyed with the idea of tailoring the side seams and adding a couple of darts in the back to add contour, but decided to send it back instead. As for the sleeves, the cuffs neatly turn up just once, and that made them the right length. Because of the length, plan to wear this with a blouse underneath, or with high waist pants, or with a skirt. If someone is squarish in the bodice (the apple shape?), this jacket might fit them perfectly as is. If very short waisted, just order a size down. Other than that, it's a very nice, excellent quality jacket. Would love to have multiple inner pockets like that if I were traveling abroad.”
