    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I have a fair amount of Exofficio clothes, mainly for travel. I find their styling can be hit or miss. This shirt seems kind of frumpy to me, whereas the fleece pullover I ordered at the same time looks really sharp. While I love the quality of all their products, consistency of size seems to be a problem. This is a large and feels enormous. That fleece pullover feels slightly large in large, and a jacket I also bought in large fits perfectly.

    I originally ordered the large and exchanged it for an XL. I am 5'11 and 210 lbs with a 36 inch waist and a 42-43" chest. I am often between a large and extra large with Ex Officio brand shirts, but normally order XLs in other brands. The XL fits a little looser than I would prefer, but it is still a great looking shirt that travels exceptionally well. It does not wrinkle and can be washed and drys over night. My wife loves the color.

    I like the pocket style on this shirt. The pocket is not sewn into the front panels of the shirt lengthwise. Instead they are attached where they open but hang inside the shirt. Which means you don't see stitching on the front AND things you put in the pockets don't end up deforming the entire front. The sleeves feel slightly oversized. Not in length so much as in just the roominess. So it feels a bit loose in that respect but not drastically.

    I bought this for my husband as a travel shirt, based on other reviews which were very positive. Yes, the shirt looks good and will probably wash and travel well. However, it is a heavier fabric, so not the best in warmer climates. The fit is good, except that the sleeves are very, very long. So, he wants to keep it for a trip to Europe in the fall, and that will probably work OK. Not a wonderful purchase, but just OK.
