It is lightweight and airy and has been comfortable to wear in humid, warm (80's) temperatures. I'm petite and the back is long and covers the rear. Not as long as to the knees. I have washed it in the sink and it dries very quickly. Directions say not to use fabric softener. I'm eager to travel with it later this summer.

I am very sensitive to the sun and I know even though I always wear sunscreen that by the end of the day it isn't effective. I have reassurance that my skin is covered and protected with this light weight comfortable jacket.

I had a slight reaction to the bug repellant at first, so I washed it in hot water a couple of times and it does fine. The material is very light and a little thin, so it is cool. While the material is light, it does appear quite strong and should last.

I have tried fishing shirts (too sloppy) and polyester long sleeve shirts (too form fitting) and then I found this gem. Lovely fabric - super lightweight with a very pretty subtle plaid. I am a 16-18 and the XL fit great. Loose fitting sleeves and being mostly nylon vs. polyester results in a loose fit for better air circulation. I can wear any tank, camisole or other shirt underneath (or nothing!) and not worry about sun overexposure. This jacket is perfect for high humidity and high temp conditions - I bought a second jacket for a backup. I would buy a third if there was another color choice!
