    This is a great shirt. I throw a vest over it when it's cool out or wear it under a running jacket when it's a bit colder. The thumb holes keep the shirt from shifting and chafing and the zipper pocket is great for a few coins or dollar bills.

    When I think "base layer" - I think of close fitting apparel that is designed to fit under some other article of clothing. This base layer is very boxy and not form fitting at all. The arms are strangely baggy, and short....too short, I think, to use the thumb holes which they provide. Sadly disappointed in this piece.
