Extrasport X-Pel H2O Splash Top - Short Sleeve (For Men)

When I saw the price of this product I thought I'd just give it a try. It seemed like such a small gamble. Surprise! I won! I am a female recreational paddler and because I'm on the tall side I can generally wear sports gear designed for men. I bought the mens small and I would typically buy a womens medium. The fit is great and it worked really well for my most recent spring time creek float. I found it comfortable, easy to put on and take off. I will say that the velcro tab at the neck needs to be secured just right or it will chafe AND you will want to make sure it is loosened but resecured in loosened position before taking it off otherwise the rough portion of the velcro really hurts as it slides past your neck. I figured this out after on one use so not a big deal. After reading bad reviews about the pocket, I decided just to pretend the garment does not have a pocket. I plan to never use it and hopefully that will prevent it from ever tearing. The garment can work perfectly fine without the pocket because it is just a mesh covering on top of the waterproof fabric. This means that even it the pocket were totally ripped away (not likely but could happen) then your jacket is still completely functional. For the STP clearance price this thing is unbeatable. One final note. It isn't waterproof in submersible conditions. I tipped once on my trip and my clothes underneath were wet but not soaked. I am very pleased with my purchase!!!

Excellent product and a real bargain too. Sea kayaking two days after it arrived and very impressed. Great to have loose fit around armpits/shoulders and much cooler and more comfortable than long sleeve top. Liked being able to easily loosen the neck fitting when it got hot and then velcro it back up when heading back into the wind and spray.

Great top for cold rivers in the SE in the summer time.

I bought this for myself but it was too small so I gave it to a friend,she loves it. I was going to reorder a larger size for myself but they were unavailable.

This is a good splash top for whitewater kayaking in summer/warm weather when you want to keep most of the cold water off of you and out of your boat. The adjustable cuffs on the arms and neck made this better than some other splash tops I have owned.
