Extrasport X-Pert Flex Plus Dry Top (For Men)

If I hadn't purchased this for such a great deal on STP I would be pretty upset about this drytop. When it first comes out of the box it is incredibly easy to get on and off (for a drytop) and it is super lightweight. The problem arises from it's waterproofing. I have two of the same top and one has seen lots of sun and use (is about a year old) while the other has only been on the river a couple of times. The year old top doesn't seem to repel any water at all - the gaskets are all still in good shape, but the fabric itself just isn't water proof anymore. Even days when I stay upright just the splashing from the waves gets me soaked. The newer one is still 98% waterproof and incredibly breathable - really can't ask for more out of a drytop. I'm going to try using some sort of chemical waterproofing to see how much life I can get out of each top, but next time I'm buying a goretex top.

as a professional white water guide I often hesitate to wear a dry top on the water for fear of over heating. Not with this top. the breathability is amazing without loosing anything in the dry department. as a kayaker, I don't recall the last time i stayed so dry in my boat. Great freedom of movement (not your typical thick crinkly folding goretex type material ) Great deal on a quality dry top. Even worth looking past the funky green color.

After 1 season of kayaking, the rubber gasgets are showing signs of deterioration (I treat the rubber regularly)but the reason I do like this top is that it is easy to put on and take off - other dry tops can be quite a battle.

Great deal on a drytop. The fit is great, the small pocket is perfect for small items. Keeps me warm and dry in the cold days.

Sizing was right, but one of the wrist gaskets tore during the first use. Needless to say I'll be returning it ASAP.
