Extrasport X-Pert Flex Plus Dry Top (For Men)

Tried it on anticipating using it in the winter. Had a friend hose me down, and not a drop came through. But, I was burning up! Of course it was September, not February. However, having paddled in February before, this may be a bit too warm for the Gulf of Mexico anytime of year, unless you are in a situation where there is a real concern of getting capsized or drenched repeatedly. It's more of a whitewater jacket. The stretchy fabric really does make it easy to move about--a definite advantage. Also, breathability is relative. You will get a bit clammy in this thing--but that's the price you pay for totally sealing out the elements. It's certainly a lot less clammy than a vinyl dry suit.

I would be using this product every day as a guide in very cold water and the material is too thin for the work that I would be putting this trough sent it back went with something else.

Excellent quality construction. Very breathable. I'm between the Large and Medium (5'10", 160lbs, 41chest) and purchased the large. It fits well, though a little big. Neck seal is comfortable, which means...a bit looser than ideal. But after some decent whitewater, I stay pretty dry. Overall...a great product...and a GREAT price.

The material is lightweight and comfy...great for playboating. May need an extra fleece for coldwater creeking, but the comfort is worth it.

The dry top is great overall, but the collar that wraps around the neck seal is sooooo loose it actually acts like a place where water can collect. It would be nice is the collar should cinch snuggly around the neck or have some sort of tiny drain holes in the material. Hopefully it will last.

Very high quality product.

This product is just as advertised. You have to get this top at this price!! Unbelievable quality for this price. After a couple of on/offs, this dry top is super easy to put on and take off. Gaskets are stretchy and still seal out ALL the water. The whole top is stretchy and very breathable! I used it in weather that I could have gone shirtless under the pfd and wasn't hot at all! I have not yet tested it in cold weather/water though. Ultimately, it should still be fine b/c it keeps you very dry (maybe combine with a layer underneath for fall&winter). Totally legit top!!

Neck band was extremely tight (I have a very thick neck) but I discovered that by cutting back the top 3/4" of the rubber neck I achieved an almost perfect fit.

The neck closure system on this top is funky. The rubber seal pinches like a piece of string tied tightly around the throat rather than distributing pressure over a broad area. Worse yet, the fabric closure won't adjust or tighten sufficiently to shield the rubber where it gaps over the collar bone. That gap will hold a quart of water once you get doused. Even though it was otherwise comfortable and sharp, it won't work right and I returned it.
