This is a beautiful coat, longer than it looks in the picture, with nice, lean lines, very pretty fabric. (It is wool, though, and if you are sensitive and try it with only a t-shirt on, the neck will prickle.) It has an equestrian, tweedy look, and the collar is lovely, the top part sits high on shoulder and it's very feminine.
The only part that didn't work for me is the belt, which is very very long with an oddly heavy buckle, and I think detracts from the overall look. That's a personal choice, though, so give it a try. There are no belt loops, just two thin thread loops I expect are only meant to keep belt & jacket together on the rack, in transit, etc. I cut them off.
I disregarded the instructions and ordered my usual size 4, and I'm glad I did, or I would have been swimming in it. It is perfect all over except a tad big in the bust, which I'll have to have taken in. That happens to me often.
Here are the size 4 measurements:
Between the shoulders in back: 14"
Chest - underarm to underarm: 38"
Waist - 34"
Sleeves from top shoulder seam - 24" - the suede goes up inside quite a ways, so you can fold them up. Very pretty.
Length neck seam to hem in back: 28"
