I had thought that because of the name "Wind Sweater" and the product's description of it being made of merino wool (nothing else was mentioned on the product's page) meant that this was going to be a tightly woven 100% merino wool sweater. The sweater is, in fact, lined with synthetic material for wind protection. It is of decent quality, but not what I thought it was going to be. I am keeping it, however, because the price was so sweet and it may come in handy on some windy day.

I got this sweater for such a great price that I hate to complain. I thought that when the name of the product said "Wind Sweater," it was simply a tight weave or heavier weight than one would normally find in a merino wool zip-neck sweater, to protect from wind. Instead, the sweater has what seems to be a polyester lining (maybe nylon?). I wish STP had mentioned that in the product description. Still, the sweater fits me great and the quality is quite good. The wool is nice and soft as merino wool should be. It may come in handy on a cool, windy day after all. I'm keeping it as the price was, as I said, "great."

Luxurious merino wool wind sweater which I wanted for outdoor activities like golf. Unfortunately, I did not realize it was dry clean only, and with the light vanilla color (which was the only color in my size being closed out) showing every stain, etc., I returned the sweater. Footjoy makes a merino wool wind sweater which is washable for about the same retail price.
