Being 5'11" and mostly legs, a chronic problem is finding knee highs that actually pass my calves and go to my knees: THESE DO ! They are plain and a thin sock that will work nicely as a liner sock for thicker hiking socks, or will stand nicely alone. Very nice.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Eloise 491 from Rhode Island on Monday, December 22, 2014I've been wearing Falke knee socks for over 20 years, usually buying them on visits to the UK or Germany, where the company is located and where the socks were always made. I was excited to find a source for them in the US. However, these are not the same quality that I have been willing to pay $20/pr for because they fit and wear so well! The cotton is not as smooth and upon first washing they shrunk badly. Moreover, there is a label on the package that says "Made in Syria". My feeling is that these were manufactured awhile ago (perhaps before the present conflict) and were an attempt by Falke to find a cheaper labor source. I am returning them because they are such a disappointment. I subsequently found an on-line UK source who, when e-mailed, assured me their Falke socks are still manufactured in Germany. The socks offered here are, I surmise, an experiment that proved to be a bad idea.

Reviewed by Quality Bargain Shopper from Northern California Wine Country on Monday, November 25, 2013This sock is superlight and soft as stated in the description. It is on the thinner side, which often works well with boots. It is also tall without being tight on the upper calf. Another good Sierra purchase. Made in Syria.
