Reviewed by Vermont Liz from Vermont on Tuesday, January 14, 2014I am so pleased that STP is carrying new products made in the USA! I was so happy to discover Faribault Woolen Mills (I think the mill is located in Minnesota). The awning striped throw is quite beautiful. The colors are lovely and the weight feels just right. The artisanal weaving is visible and makes for a beautiful result. I am astonished at the bargain price and I sure hope the company is not in trouble because I would like to give Faribault more of my business in the future!

Reviewed by sjbgky11 from Kentucky on Monday, December 30, 2013I sent this item as a gift so haven't actually seen it. However, the recipient said it is soft, warm and lovely. I was not happy to hear that the invoice showed how much I had saved on the purchase! If not for that , I would have given 5 stars.
Reviewed by Mike from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, December 18, 2013Nice product, but 2 stars for STP:
The good news: these throws were part of a major contract between Faribault Woolen Mills and JCPenney that apparently helped FWM become an economically viable factory again, while increasing their local workforce: http://www.southernminn.com/faribault_daily_news/news/local/article_f4a4a52b-1f4f-5e59-8992-e6b98345962a.html?mode=story
The bad news: The CEO is quoted as saying “These will be products that will be specifically designed for them to meet price points that they’re trying to meet within their environment,” he said. “As a result there’s a different instruction, different pattern and a different material input.”
In other words, these are not $100+ throws. They even have a sub-brand on the tag, "Cannon River - by the Faribault Mill." And also, they are most certainly not merino wool. They don't claim to be, and it's a little surprising that STP is making this claim in the product name for every throw and scarf in this family. The tags say "100% PURE WOOL", which they wouldn't say if they made them out of merino. They are very nice throws and I'm glad to support an American company, but please, Sierra Trading Post, get "merino" out of the product names and descriptions! It is very misleading...
