Farrago by Chefs Consomme Bowl

These bowls are very nice and you cannot beat the price, but I can't help thinking that there was a mistake somewhere in the manufacture that accounts for the low price. The lid looks it is intended to settle nicely on top of the rim of the bowl, but it actually nestles inside the bowl, resting on.... nothing. There is no rim to meet the underside of the lid. It looks like this was a factory mixup in which the inside and outside measurements got switched, and someone figured out how to market them anyway. They ARE very attractive, no two ways about it. Just a tiny bit odd.
