    I bought both a 12 and 14. After wearing the 14 for about 4 hours, they were too big. Originally, I liked the fit better than the 12. So, I tried the 12. After a day at work, they fit just right. I am tall and the length worked for me, too.

    This is my favorite brand of casual jeans/pants and typically fit perfectly. Not true here. The sizing system was not uniform. The 12 was at least two sizes too small, and the 14 was a true 14 and much too big. I had to return both. Maybe other sizes are more like the 14.

    The stripe pattern is cute and flattering, and these are cut with a nice moderately long inseam. I like the fit, but these are now the highest-waisted pants I own. The waist does not dig in though, so they don't feel as high as they look. Great value.

    For comparison, I wear FDJ Suzanne jeans, which fit me very well. The Shadow Stripe pants are much thinner and smaller. The thigh area of the pant is much smaller than the Suzanne thigh, and looked very unflattering especially with the flared lower leg. I was able to put on the Shadow Stripe pants and zip them, but they were extremely tight - not in a sexy way, but in a "she must have bought those pants 20 pounds ago" way. If you like the fit of FDJ Olivia pants, you may like these if you don't mind the thin material.

    Loved these when first ordered (10). On second order I needed smaller size (8). Was completely disappointed on arrival. Though marked size 8, they fit larger than the size 10. Was so looking forward to getting these, as other FDJ pants fit well and I thought I finally found a brand I could count on. (sigh) Such a letdown, returning.
