I searched for months to find an attractive waterproof insulated jacket to wear on weekends around town and on errands. My Italian short wool coats (perfect for work) were too dressy. My cotton/poly, plaid lined LLBean jacket, perfectly functional, was too casual and lacked style. But I didn't want to wear a parka or some other all purpose outdoorwear jacket because usually they're not flattering and too many are styled with sporty contrasting stripes, etc. In the Misha jacket, I found exactly what I was looking for. This jacket is PERFECT. The photo and description really don't do it justice. Instead of the boxy or shapeless form of many women's outdoor jackets (often being smaller sized versions of a man's jacket), the Misha has flattering seams cut on the bias and rectangular metal snaps with a matte finish. The fabric (Blue glacier) is not simply plain nylon; it has a fine pattern in the texture that gives the cloth a lovely, subtle sheen. There are drawcords on the bottom edge of the jacket and around the hood. The quality of the construction and finish is excellent, including perfect invisible zippered pockets which contribute to the sleek look. The inside of the jacket has a lovely quilted panel inset in the center back; the hood has the same quilted interior (the quilted fabric is a shimmery silver color - fun!). The fur trim can be removed, which leaves the hood with a fabric "cuff" that creates a charming frame for the face. Warm, comfortable, and stylish, a simply gorgeous jacket.

I'll wear this in the rain, snow or just cold. Love the fit. Wish the hood design was better, it's huge and won't stay up without holding it. Still love it though.

Some nice style features on the zippers and closures, but the shape was puffy and unflattering. The main problem though is the loudness of the fabric whenever you move.

I got this jacket to use primarily for cold, damp, rainy weather; I have used this jacket in heavy rain and it faired quite well. What I like about it is that it is so lightweight and not stiff at all, a very comfortable, soft fabric. The lining looks very pretty, a silver color and a very comfortable fabric and there is light insulation as well. I have not used the jacket in really cold weather so I cannot comment on that but it kept me dry and warm in 40-50 degree weather. There is plenty of room to layer underneath this jacket yet it is not boxy, it is slightly tailored. The only thing I don't like is the fur on the hood which sheds and appears to be of low quality but it is removable. The hood size is easily adjustable with snaps which are placed all around it. There are also draw cords if you need to tie the hood so it doesn't open in the wind. It would probably be a good jacket for skiing as well since it is so easy to move in this jacket. So far I have been very pleased. The jacket looks better on than in the picture which makes it look boxy which it is not. The sizing is perfect. I wish I could get this jacket in a dark green, olive color as well.
