    My past experiences with self-winding watches have been mixed. Most often, the mechanism did not provide enough accuracy (the watch either going too fast or too slow). This one does the trick. It is rather bulky, however. The watch itself is very sturdy, I bought it for hiking trips, but now wear it every day, except for times when I need a dress watch.

    I was surprised by how large the watch is, and worried that it would be too heavy. But I have found it to be fine - and fun to use. I enjoy that it winds up as I jog or walk, and that it is easy to read and keeps good time.

    The only draw back to this watch is the self winder does not last very long if the watch sits in a case for longer periods of time. It needs to be worn nearly every day, or the winding mechanism runs out.

    This watch was three times thicker and heavier than any I've owned, and the second hand stutters and skips. I returned it. Couldn't even button my shirt sleeve around it or put on a jacket over it.
