I am using this product for a climb in Borneo. It is lightweight and folds down easy and actually fits inside my other backpack WITH my clothes. The pack itself is small but the water bottles come in handy and the construction is durable. My redneck buddy stationed in Iraq with me is an avid hunter and wants to buy it from me already. I am very pleased. ALSO... The padding and straps are very comfortable for long hikes and climbs.

Tried to use the bottom portion as a fanny pack. The straps were essentially non-existent - so the pack flopped around like crazy. Worthless as a fanny pack, but not bad if you want to use the whole deal for a day trip.

I attempted to use this as a supplemental rucksack for upland wingshooting. Fell apart on me while in the field. Three zippers dead-in-the-water. Terrible design. Left me stranded with stuff falling out all over the place.

I've been using this pack for elk hunting for a couple weeks now. I have found it to be adequate in size for all the gear and clothes I take on a day trip. One thing that annoys me is how difficult and noisy the zippers are. Perhaps that will improve with time. With the water bottles it is a bit wider than I like and I find myself brushing the sides quite often when hiking through the thick brush. Also, the included light did not work when I received the pack, but rather than waste time for an exchange I spent a couple bucks and replaced the batteries. The light is poorly designed and was constantly coming on even when the bag was not opened. I removed the little magnet that activates it when you open the bag and now it is manually controlled only. I find this works better and should help the battery life.

This is a great value for someone that does not need to carry a lot of extra gear. It is too small for elk hunters who need to carry clothes to the top of the mountain in cold weather.
