Very nicely made with great detail. Looks nice on and is comfortable to wear. No lining so would have to layer if very cold outside.

Comment on previous reviewer's experience with fold lines. She doesn't own a hair dryer? This fabric is proofed, which means that over time it gets both a characteristic patina and use wrinkles appear. It is readily re-proofed using Filson supplied wax. U-tube has examples from other waxed garmets. I have a Filson shelter cloth hunting jacket (and several tin verions) and wear it around town sometimes. My wife has a waxed coat that I asked her to retire after many (factory) patchings and rebuilds and 20 years of service. Wish Filson made this in a men's version.

A very cool rugged windbreaker, and IT'S MADE IN THE U.S.A.! I was looking for alternative to a Barbour, and this fits the bill. It's a very basic design. No liner, no inside pockets. Filson make's hunting clothes, so if you are looking for luxury, try Barbour, or Belstaff. Think of this as more of an alternative to a denim trucker jacket...

This is a well-made jacket, but it came folded and the wrinkles have not hung out. It is paraffin-soaked cotton and CANNOT BE IRONED! (I checked with STP and they checked with the mfr.) This is going back. Otherwise it was just what I wanted. So sad.

    • Answer It is not lined.
Answered on 3/23/2011 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer No, but it is heavy cloth. Beware, though! It comes folded and you can't iron it (per mfr through STP), so the folds remain. They have not hung out. I will have to return mine. Can't steam it, either. Otherwise a very nice jacket!
