3.0 out of 5 stars. Great priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Elizabeth Smart from Michigan on Monday, September 7, 2015This is a great price on a high quality jacket. The colors aren't quite as appealing as I had hoped but it fits great and I will save it for a rainy day.

Any middle layer recommended with this jacket. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by George from Michigan on Friday, April 3, 2015Great looking jacket and a great fit. I normally wear size large but ordered this jacket in extra large per your recommendation. Even my wife said that this was her favorite looking jacket of all my jackets, and I do have a number of them. This may be a hint as to where to look for it when I can't find it in my closet. I love this jacket and Filson always makes great stuff. This is the perfect jacket for cool, wet spring days.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Tuesday, February 10, 2015I had been watching this Filson jacket, waiting until the right deal came along. I picked up the tan/orange, which looks great both in the field and out on the town. The orange is more of a cream colored orange, not a blaze orange. So, don't let the orange keep you from purchasing if you're not a hunter - it doesn't look like a dedicated hunting jacket. It's a Seattle fit, so it's a little more fitted. I'm 5'9", 138lbs. and the small fits perfectly. The quality is outstanding and the jacket looks great on - I've purchased a lot of great items from STP but this Filson jacket is by far my favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Filson "urban" fit--More trim than Traditional/field; Nice coatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rayhull@aol.com, not want tin from Rensselaer, NY on Wednesday, January 7, 2015For years, I (46L) have been wearing Large (tall when available) Filson garments--at least until last year when they slimmed down their entire line to reflect those who are hunting and trapping in an urban atmosphere. Those guys don't layer up for harsh weather and don't want to look like the Michelin man while hunting, so trimmer their patterns got.
I ordered XL in this and it was just right, with room for a dress sweater if you choose, but not a hefty wool shirt or bulky sweater, etc.
The color and mottling takes some getting used to but is pleasant and not as harsh as it appears in the photos. Great value at STP pricing. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Filson Light CruiserVerified Buyer Reviewed by Donn from Seattle on Friday, October 31, 2014I like it, as a sort of heavy duty raincoat. The photo looks to me exactly like what I got - it isn't much for urban outdoor fashion, if I'm a judge of that. The sizing might be close to a Long or Tall - a little longer in sleeves and body than you might expect for the nominal size. I have the Large.
I don't know what Vachetta cloth means, but here it appears to be a thin rubberized fabric. It will be interesting to see how it wears, at the seams etc. Rain protection seems to be all right, haven't tested it much. The hood (which attaches with a zipper) is very large - I don't normally use hoods, partly because they are usually too small and the jacket hangs from my head, but here the hood conversely may be a bit too large, falling to near eye level in front. Folded up, it fits in a front pocket. There is also a large back pocket not mentioned in the writeup. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great valueReviewed by Mike B. from Kentucky on Sunday, October 19, 2014I agree with the other review. This is a terrific value. The jacket is much nicer looking than the photo suggests. At this price it is a true value.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome Jacket... Made in the USAVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sierra Roadrunner from California Sierras on Tuesday, August 26, 2014Originally ordered this jacket in a Medium, as Filson's size chart indicated Med was 40-42 chest fit for men. Found it was a little tight, so exchanged for a size Large. This jacket is awesome in looks and wearing comfort, length and fit. Keep in mind that Filson often has two size considerations in a fit. Regular (likened back to turn-of-the-century lumberjacks fit for burly/husky types or for lots of layering underneath, and the the Seattle fit which is slimmer and does not take well to much of a paunch/belly. This jacket is a Seattle cut/fit, so when considering your order keep that in mind. Also some of Filson's products are now being made in Asia, but this is one of products still made in Filson's USA factories. In ending, note that the jacket's color is far more appealing than that shown in the picture.
