Nice hat but not as large as advertised

It's a nice hat but was advertised as fitting up to size 8-1/4. The guy I bought it for wears 7-7/8 and the hat was much too tight for him to wear. It's too bad because it looks nice, seems durably constructed and probably would've been a great hat otherwise.
