Ideal for all day use in town or walking the woods and parks. Plenty of pockets, keeps the wind and rain out and with a light wool sweater under it plenty warm on a cold day. Its a stylish outdoor casual jacket that just fits good I realy like it.

Living in the NW I wanted a coat that is breathable but also weather resistant. So far this Filson meets the bill. Just today I was working in the yard in a hard rain. The waxed cotton shed water and kept me dry and comfortable. This is not a lightweight coat but it's well made and comfortable.

I bought this coat for my husband, he wears a small and the small fit perfect. It is heavier than it looks, so you get the warmth without the bulk. It is dressy enough to wear to church and yet tough enough to wear for every day. He has not worn it much yet so time will tell, but it looks like a winner. It comes with more wax in case you need it. My only concern would be having it hang in the closet next to something that the wax would rub off on.
