These are waxable skis, so for the best performance it is recommended to wax them. To identify the kick zone it is generally recommended to have someone help you with you having your full weight on the ski and it is the area that doesn't touch the ground with your full weight. It's usually the underfoot area with about 6 inches forward and behind or so. You wax that area with kick wax and the tip and tail with glide wax.
