I bought these shoes based on the reviews. I do not agree that they are very comfortable for hiking but I have very high arches. They have about as much arch support as a converse sneaker. With inserts they are much better. Also, I have wood floors in my home and the shoe leaves black marks everywhere. I would return them, but I have worn them outside already. They are very nice looking and well made shoes and aside from the arches are comfortable.

These shoes are very comfortable, but they have one too few shoelace eyelets. They do not lace all the way up to the foot, which makes them less stable. I took them on an 8 mile hike and my heel kept slipping out of the shoe. I am going to try and find a shoe smith to add a set of eyelets to the top of the shoe.

I can't say enough good things about these shoes. The rubber is super sticky, which is great for hiking. I feel much more confident on slippery surfaces. These shoes fit great for me. They are a narrower shoe (which is good for me), but I would say they would be good for anyone with a regular width foot as well since I have to tie them tight still. They fit pretty true to size. I normally wear a 7.5 and ordered that size. They are slightly long, but still fit good. Have done a few hikes in them and love them!
