Verified Buyer Reviewed by Scott from Colorado on Sunday, February 8, 2015Fantastic shoe. True to regular shoe size. I normally wear a size smaller in climbing shoe, however this was exactly my size. I ordered a 9 and needed a 10. Sierra Tradinding Post's superior customer service took care of me right away. Great job!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ridley from NY on Sunday, January 18, 2015Thanks to many other reviewers comments, i bought larger than i normally would have, but even then, when i received them, they were too small. So i ordered next full size up, and they fit great. The normal sizing rules do not apply to these shoes. I needed to go with a full 2 sizes up from my normal shoe size to get a fit. I know many climbers like the shoes to fit with toes curled, but that is not for me - these shoes are snug, but my toes are flat, the way i like them to be, and i can climb for hours w/o having pain from a too tight fit, yet they are tight enough for efficient climbing toeholds. Would go for 5 stars, but i have limited experience with other climbing shoes, so i am not qualified to rate them against others.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by James from Wisconsin on Wednesday, November 12, 2014I love these things, I've owned four or five pairs over the years, and they cannot be be beat when it comes to all-day comfort. The extra layer of leather at the laces allows for incredibly comfortable jamming, and helps the shoes hold up over time.

“I wear a 7m/40euro. and the 7m that I ordered (from someplace else, but now I will be ordering from you due to you have the stock) is WAY too small. My current climbing shoes are a 40euro and run 10 inches on the outside. These 7m are 39.5 and run 91/4 inches on the outside. can you tell me what the euro is if I order a 9 and what the inches are on the bottom of the shoe. I don't want to return shoes 3-4 times and want a better ballpark of what will fit me.”
The size 9 is a 42 Euro and is about 10" long.
“Do you know if these are the type of climbing shoes that will stretch a bit after a bit of use? I believe there are some materials that do stretch and others that don't.”
“This shoe lists as for men and women--are the given sizes men's us shoe sizes or women's sizes?||thanks!”
If you hover over the "sizes available" a tap will appear and provide you with the correct male and female sizes. Thanks for asking.
“Are these shoes true to size? For example, for a snug fit should I purchase a 1/2 size smaller than my street shoe size? I typically wear a 42 (9) in a climbing shoe.||Thanks”
According to our fit models the Five Ten Newton Climbing Shoes do run true to size. I would recommend ordering a 9
