these are great shoes but as i've been learned, and after asking around, five ten has been weird with their sizing recently. i own two other pairs of five tens, and both of them are in the 9.5 - 10 range. after ordering the hornets in a size ten, they are incredibly small. my toes are literally curled up mashed. definitely at least a size smaller than pair of gambits which are size 10s as well. weird...

I ordered a pair for myself, my daughter, and my daughter-in-law sizes 6.5, 7, & 7.5 respectively. we each had to get a full size & a half up - 8, 8.5, & 9. Now they are snug, but not painfully tight. We like lace-ups better than velcro because they make the shoe easier to snug up.

I have been climbing for quite a while but I have never really cared to wear an aggressive shoe. I use TC Pros for most everything but the sole is so thick which makes it hard to feel the rock sometimes but then again sensitivity is not necessarily key when climbing an offwidth. I got the Hornets for my sport shoes and they perform really well. The sole is super thin which allows you to feel the most minuscule edges on the rock. My only beef with the shoes are the sizing, the lacing, and the soft sole. I wear a size 10 in nearly every shoe but in these I wear an 11.5 and they are just a little too tight. If you aren't careful while you are putting them on it is possible for the tongue to fold over on the sides which is not very comfortable. While the sole is very sensitive it comes at a cost in that these shoes have no stiffness in the sole at all. Ultimately, these are great shoes if you are ready to get (read: cram) your feet into them.

Disregard the other review. All climbing shoes fit differently. If you haven't learned that yet, you're buying the wrong shoe. Very sensitive. Very downturned. Very Green. All positives.

Had to exchange the first pair (size 9) for a size 10.5. Typically wear a size 9 street shoe, so be prepared to order at least a good size larger than you wear. Othewise, a good shoe. Have only been on the indoor climbing walls so far, but they worked well and stuck to the wall when needed.

I ordered, paying attention to reviews that said the shoes fit tight. So I bought them a half size small (9 instead of 9.5). The 9s fit my heals and across the broadest part of my foot perfectly. The toes are a different issue, however. I could not really even walk because the bind was so tight. I really need the extra half size in my toes. So don't do what I did. Don't order a half size too small (unless you have short toes). Now, I ordered a 9.5 and a 10, and I'll send back the one that does not fit, probably the 10 (if the 9.5 has a 9 heal, which I hope it does). I think you will find the shoe fits tight/ultra snug when you buy true to size. Beyond that, the shoe seems like a great buy. The thin rubber is not a big problem unless you are into doing a lot of climbing.

I've climbed in these shoes for 5 months now. They started out really tight, but have stretched out to be almost comfortable. I've used them mainly in the gym. The extrememly thin soles make them uncomfortable for walking around outside. I love how sensitive they are, I can feel everything. The trade off is that the very thing rubber means that they are going to need to be resoled frequently, and I'm not sure how to get the 2 mm rubber. Most resolers use 4mm.

these are tight fitting aggressive bouldering/sport shoes, i would want to spend a long day tromping around in them. they run small, at least one size, edge like a dream, and the annoying toxic banana yellow makes them hard to leave behind when loading up the bouldering mat.
