I really like the look, the overall construction, the tread etc. The shoe walks comfortably and after a couple hours around the house has already lost some of that new shoe stiffnes....BUT SIZE MATTERS.....I wear a 9.5 athletic shoe and a 10 dress shoe. Bought these in 9.5 similar to previous boot purchases and the fit in the boot is correct with plenty of wiggle room in the toes.....But I doubt I will be able to wear heavy or double socks because the neck/yoke around the tongue lace area is too small front to back to allow foot to EASILY pass into shoe. I got them on, and the size is right but it will take some leather stretching to make for easy on/off....I don't want to buy a 10.5 because then fit is at least a full size too large in the forefoot area.

Oh yeah, the top two metal tabs for the laces are not speed or quick lacing open tabs, they are closed external eyes.

This boot looks great and feels like it is well made. It is comfortable and feels true to it's size.

These were not a classic Florsheim shoe. Fit was poor and the shoe looked cheep. I still have Florsheim shoes from 15 to 20 years ago, when their quality was second to none. Very disappointed that they had their name on these boots.

The first pair I ordered a half size up from my normal dress shoes and they were too large. The second pair I ordered in my dress shoe size -- and they fit perfectly. There is enough adjustment to allow the use of a partial orthotic. They fit me with and without the orthotic.

These work well for me in wet but not downpour conditions. The boots aren't really waterproof and the leather our-of-the-box is not water repellant.

I like the smooth leather look which makes them usable as good casual shoes -- almost dressy.

After reading other reviews, I ordered a half size larger than usual, and the fit is very good. They seem to run a little narrow. Leather is very supple and this seems like a comfortable, well built boot.

The quality, in looking seems to be good, but what is good quality when I can get them on. I usually wear a 9, but I thought I would get a 9 1/2 so I got wear heavier socks. Even with thin dress socks I couldn't get them on.
