I like my jeans and flannel, so I think that these boots are great because they allow me to go from cutting firewood outside to riding my motorcycle to town where I can kick back at the local coffee house and read the latest edition of The Atlantic. They're heavy enough that I won't go doing any hi...

I bought these as a gift, and they haven't been tried on yet. They are nice-looking boots, and not too heavy. They seem durable and have good soles. My complaint is that the color of the boots is walnut brown, not grey.

Thank goodness for the other Sierra reviews! As everyone else has mentioned, if you order these boots, order half a size smaller than your normal size. One review mentioned that the "Grey" really isn't grey, but more a dark brown. I can't speak to that, but let me tell you: the "Wheat" is way more tan than light brown. I'm not exaggerating: this color boot totally looked like your average construction boot, which definitely was not what I had had in mind. The look and feel are good otherwise, but I returned them.

This is a great looking and GREAT feeling simple, sturdy work boot that is obviously made of quality materials. I took the advice in the other reviews and ordered a 11.5 instead of my normal 12 and it fits perfect. The one thing I'd say about appearance is that the color was more of a brown than a gray. After I put a little waterproofing balm on it they're even more brown...so if you're going to condition them at all (and you'll probably want to since this is a quality boot), you're probably going to be wearing a darker brown boot than the gray one in the picture. No bid deal for me either way though. Buy this and don't look back.

This is more of a style boot than a hiking boot. A great casual style for jeans and khakis. Nice details in the stitching and leather panels front and rear. The fit is almost wide, and fits almost a half size longer. Great if you want to wear some thicker wool socks in winter. The foot bed inside is most flat. The sole feels good, but the boot could use a better insole cushion. Customer can probably add an insole in the standard size, with the generous fit.
