Birkenstock is by far the best shoe for this and these are true to form. They provide excellent arch support. They are also extremely comfortable & very nice looking. The only down side is I don't like suade because I cook alot and I don't find it easy to clean when i get food on my shoes. Also, they are open in the back. Sometimes shoes open in the back slip off - these don't do that at all, they're very stable. However, I don't think I'd wear them in the rain. I hate wet socks.

Answer While that may work, most likely you'll wind up with a shoe that's too long and too narrow. We do have regular width available in these shoes in the Black Woven Leather. Just click "R" on the order page where it says "Width."
