bought these socks for a snowboarding trip - i wore them as a liner under thicker (wigwam) socks and the combination was great - it was a little warm out, but these kept my feet cool and happy. if i see them in my size again I'm going to grab them up! i also intend to take them hiking, and, if i had a few more pairs, im sure they'd be on my feet more often.

I used the socks to keep my feet warm while in bed. The only thing that I don't like is that they are too tight on my leg.

I am wearing these liners under my dress socks at work because my office is very cold! Great for this purpose.

Use under wool socks for winter warmth. Thin enough to wear w/business-type more casual shoes + simple black socks. Only consideration is elastic top a bit snug. Stretch mine out + roll elastic part over + works fine. Reason for the 4 rating. Gave a few pairs to a 75 yr. old relative + she loves them, too.

These are listed as seconds, but I couldn't find anything wrong with them. I bought them for my daily commute (walking) under business socks.

a bit more durable than typical liner socks

Using inside my paddock boots for outdoor riding; not as soft as I had hoped but they seem to work to keep my feet a little warm!

I got them because some of my wool blend socks just weren't warm enough. These don't add bulk like wearing a normal second pair of socks. They do add some warmth, but not as much as I had hoped for. It's 0 degrees outside and my hardwood floors are cold. I have furry lined slippers that were very warm but made my feet sweat. Now I can wear my slippers w/o that problem. That was a nice surprise. I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, etc. I got 3 pair and although they are 2nds, I don't notice any obvious flaws. They were out of my size so I got a larger size, but they work just fine.
