I got these as a spare pair for my brother to use on local waters. Since we're all going away from felt (right?), these closeout prices on felt-soled boots will just continue to drop like crazy. Why not buy a pair or two to use on specific local streams? Or just to keep on hand for a buddy to use? BE FOREWARNED: these soles are NOT stitched--let alone double stitched--so the durability of these is suspect. The photo on here does not show this fact, either. I once had a fishing trip to Yellowstone all but ruined by losing a cheap felt sole. Never again! Recommend these for the casual angler, or as a throw away spare; the price is right for both.

I have a pair of these boots and have fished them for two years. I hike/fish a lot. I wear these with waders and neoprene socks, wet wading in the summer. I have really abused these boots and other than some superficial damage to the sides they are still in pretty good shape. I gave them 4 stars because they are not $200 Simms boots, but they are great for the price.

The size 7 fit my women's 7 foot with the neophrene wader sock and a regular medium thick cotton sock. My foot is a bit wide and it feels snug but not too tight. The felt grip is fine for this beginner flyfisher. The hooks at the top of the boot are very tight. I guess if you were rough with yanking on them they might pop out. But I try to be careful and have had not problems. I was thinking of just filing the inside of the plastic hook to loosen them up a bit but haven't done that yet.

Handled wading over slippery lava rock nicely. My shoe size is 8.5 and the size nine boot feels short. Having new boots saved me disenfectant costs entering Iceland.

Bought these for my unkle as a low cost boots for the few times he fishes with me. One of the plastic eyes broke on the first trip. Will be ok for a few trips a year.
