I don't get my boots too muddy as I probably spend more time in the office than the field. I can't wear a boot during the summer. Too hot for my feets. I was looking for a rugged looking shoe (gotta look the part in the field) and saw these on STP. Always wanted to try a Frye product and these shoes did not disappoint. Takes a little time to break in. I've been wearing a couple of months now and they seem to be outstanding quality.

Reviewed by watchmaker from Chicago on Monday, December 31, 2012every day go to shoes. i have loads of shoes but these are my favorite. i have to force myself to wear others. i am a blundstone devote but this is taking their place. they work in a broad range of styles. i bought them for studio to get abused but i like them so much i do not abuse them like i intended. i can stay on my feet for hours and not get tired.

Besides, I figured cost wise, its almost like getting 2 for the price of 1. These shoes are pretty close to being in this category for me.
